About the event
Roots to Rise Detroit, the consulting company created in 2017 by Kelsey Hubbell, is “reintroducing” the brand and a number of future events, including Detroit Up North, on Friday, April 22, 2022 at The Warren Cafe.
After almost five years of working with local nonprofits and small businesses, including two years of Covid, Roots to Rise Detroit is launching its own events, arts and culture newsletter titled “Get Busy, Do Good”, a service social networking events series, and the return of Camping on the Cut and Detroit Up North getaways.
Roots to Rise Detroit, was conceptualized with the intention always to connect people with the “roots” of Detroit. The people, places, and things that make this city so interesting. Inspired by my incredible parents and role models, I believe that in order to create sustainable and authentic growth in the city of Detroit, we must water the roots. This city needs thoughtful growth that honors its history and connects people in creative and intentional ways. Roots to Rise Detroit works to connect people through grassroots and community-focused events, stories, and partnerships.
Kick off this new chapter in the journey by attending the Reintroduction of Roots to Rise Detroit Party on Friday, April 22 from 5-7 PM at The Warren Cafe in Morningside. Enjoy snacks, cocktails, community and a message from the Founder, Kelsey Hubbell.
